Description
If you’re looking to add a bit of style to your engine and tired of those cheezy, plastic grips that come with all engine kits, then you need the BBR Tuning CNC Chrome Throttle Grip and Retainer assembly. Made for pretty much anything with a throttle, this throttle handle is what you custom builders were made for.
Made of billet aluminum, this grip and retainer is extremely lightweight and a breeze to work with. Whether you’re on straight handle bars, ape hangers, or cruiser bars, all you have to do is slip on your favorite grip, insert your throttle cable, and in seconds you’re ready to ride.
Sound too easy? That’s because it really is:
- First, you grab your favorite handlebar grip and slide it on the throttle handle
- Take the lone screw from under the retainer. With an electric drill bit, make a mark on the handlebar where you want to mount the retainer. Take a 5mm drill bit and make a 5mm hole in the handle bar
- Insert the throttle cable in to the cable port under the retainer, then in to one of the four slots on the throttle handle
- Fasten the top of the retainer together with the grip and cable installed, and install the grip over the handlebar
- Fasten the mounting screw in to the drilled port on the handle bars
The best part? They’re chrome, so they go with pretty much any color scheme around! If you want to change it up, swapping out the grips is just as easy as slipping regular bike grips on. So whether you want more grip out of your throttle, a cushier grip, or a throttle that just looks cool, grab one of these grips and start riding the bike you always wanted.

Note: This throttle grip and retainer DOES NOT work with kill switch retainers like those found in bicycle engine kits. Stand-alone bike engine kill switches are recommended if a kill circuit is needed on a motorized bike build.

I had to sand the handle bars to make it install and turn. I am overall impressed but I haven't road tested it. It seems sturdy and functional on my second build. Thank you for the cool throttle grip.
Worth the money, even if your stock plastic throttle works fine Although these didnt fit my curved handlebars due to the need for more space since youll have to move your killswitch AND your brake lever over a little,but i just put them on my other motorized bike with normal straight bars, the metal looks very nice, and the grips that come with it feel large in your hand, kind of like a real motorcycle :)

A Must Have II Three months and hundreds of miles since my last review and I still believe this throttle is an absolute necessity as the plastic garbage that's included in the kits is, well, garbage...literally.I got great, friendly service on the phone from BikeBerry and ordered it in my car while driving to lunch.Whatever bike kit you get you should go ahead and order BB's very affordable throttle assembly so you can start riding immediately.
A Must Have I don't mean ""must have"" figuratively like it's something cool you wanna get cuz you saw it on TV.I mean it literally because the plastic ones in the kits don't work at all.Save the kill switch that comes with the kit though, you'll need it with this throttle.I don't remember the dude's name who I talked to on the phone but very nice and very helpful.
