stuff that worked for me. Review by epwrangler
I removed the cut lock washer and put a star washer on first the n bolted on the part that was binding on the bolts holding the magneto. That solved the problem until I bolted on the cover. Now the rotor was too long. I took it out again and sanded down the front until I was sanding the two bolt faces. Now when I bolted on the cover it all worked well. Simple and easy. As for the crank clearance or lack of it, I removed the one piece crank from my Huffy Cranberry and placed the flat end of the left side into a vice wit h the left arm extending straight up. I heated the bend at the point close to the center shaft and pulled on the other arm until I thought it would clear the pull starter. I let it cool then heated the arm just above the pedal flat. I bent the arm the other way until the center shaft was parallel to the ground. Once cool, I reassembled it all and it works great. Price zero.

works good Review by mike
pull start works great now, i have a skyhawk gt5 and had to shave down a little piece of this kit so it would not contact the magneto. simple 5 min fix with a dremel and it really beats pop starting, my motor is thanking me. (Posted on 8/28/12)
Pull starter Review by Bryan
The pull starter makes all the difference in the would, i had a hard time keeping the chain from popping of during clutch release. I believe it was do to so much torque that it yanked the chain to hard. Anyway i had to get the wider pedal arms to work with the installed pull starter.

Take the cover panel off and with a impact wrench take the nut and washer off, then place the washer on then the start spindle and the in the Nut. Then put on the pull starter.

After installing this pull start.. Review by Al G.
After installing this pull start..
I now use this motor to run a pump in the gold fields in N.Ca.
It light and portable. I mounted on a light frame and chained it to a pump to run my sluce box.

Works great and runs all day Weighs around 8lbs. lighter than my old pump allowing me to go further into the woods

Great Idea for usage (Posted on 3/21/12)

Q: Hi, I was wondering if I put this on my motor, could I be able to take off without pedaling and would it let me be able to idle or not? thanks.

Posted On: 7/20/13 By: tyler

A: Yes and Yes. This product does not affect the way the engine runs, only how it starts. It gives you to option to stop it while the bike is stopped instead of using your forward momentum. Idle is not affected by this unit.
Q: i have an older model flying horse 80cc (about 3 years old) and im trying to imagine how this goes on... but i dont know if it will work for my motor. i dont want to waist $35 on a part that wont work.

Posted On: 6/1/13 By: brandon

A: Hey, Brandon! The Pull Start Assembly has two pieces to it: the cup and the pull chord plate. You take off the magneto case cover, take the bolt out from the center of the magneto, fit the cup around the magneto magnet, and reinstall the bolt. Then you mount the pull chord cover over the bowl and bolt it down. You'll then be able to pull the pull start instead of pedal-starting your bike.
