Description

Whether you've just decided to upgrade to an electric-powered bicycle, or you've been riding an e-bike for years but want to upgrade your battery, the ModWheel 36V 11AH Li-ion E-Bike Battery is a crowd pleaser. Light, small, and packed with long-lasting cells, the ModWheel 36V 11AH Li-ion E-Bike Battery is compatible with most 36 volt, 250 watt or 36 volt, 500 watt electric bike motors (it is the buyers responsibility to check compatibility prior to purchase).

Able to complete a full recharge in just 5 hours (many other batteries take 8+ hours), the ModWheel 36V 11AH Li-ion E-Bike Battery is a great choice for riders who want to be able to commute to work, and then have the battery fully charged again by the time they finish for the day. Although voltage and amp hour ratings can seem confusing (how do you know if a battery will meet your needs?), it can help to think of the voltage as like a horsepower classification on a car engine (the amount of power you'll get). Meanwhile, the amp hour rating is like checking how much gas you have in your cars gas tank ΓÇô it tells you how far you can expect to travel. This 36 volt, 11 amp hour lithium-ion battery will allow you to travel 17-25 miles, depending on the specifications of your electric motor.

If you've been riding e-bikes for quite a few years now then you may be more familiar with the sealed lead-acid batteries that used to be favored by e-bike manufacturers. While SLA batteries got the job done, they weren't great at holding a charge, they tended to only last for 100-200 recharge cycles, but worst of all, they were heavy! By contrast, the newer lithium-ion batteries are much smaller and lighter, with the ModWheel 36V 11AH Li-ion E-Bike Battery weighing just 6.5 lbs. in total. This is partly thanks to the new housing for the battery cells, which is actually constructed of a durable plastic (which has the added benefit of keeping the battery cool while it is in use). Additionally, this lithium-ion battery has an average lifespan that exceeds 800 recharge cycles, so it will last for many years to come.

Great battery I've had one of these with a 500 watt motor for over a year, now, and I've put about 700 miles on it.It's still working great and I just got a second battery to carry for longer distances.I did the math, and in my city, electricity costs a little more than 7 cents per kilowatt hour. So, that's about 3 cents to charge one of these. Now, I can go about 30 miles for only 6 cents.I'm very satisfied.

I received the battery in reasonable time and the order was correct and the battery was good. I do have problems getting any customer service during the pandemic. I recently sent an email stating the issues I am having and received an email reply telling me they do not have phone support and I should email them. Huh??? My previous experience wasn't much better. It shouldn't take a week to receive a reply. This is an activity that they could have their staff do while quarantined at home.
