Description

Not enough room on your bike to mount your motorized bicycle engine kit’s fuel tank? For those tricky builds, the 2.5L Rear Mounted Motorized Bicycle Gas Tank w/ Mounting Rack takes the headache of fabricating special mounts for your 2-stroke engine or 4 stroke engine’s fuel tank by mounting it over your rear wheel.
Motorized bikes with step-through frames or frames with oversized tubes are nearly impossible to mount a fuel tank without lots of modification. With this rear-mounted gas tank, you’ll be able to take your builds to the next level, building on female frames, oversized frames, and more!
When the last thing your bike engine kit needs is a fuel tank but you just can’t mount it to your bike, this 2.5L Rear Mounted Gas Tank will have your gas motor fueled up and ready to ride.

Part #2 on the Fuel Component Diagram

Gas Tank (2.5 Liter Capacity) Durable Rear Rack great for bikes that have oversized top tubes.

Luggage rack fuel tank

This thing is great! I was building a bike with no top bar so I needed a place to put the fuel. Makes the bike very sleek looking. I do believe the next bike i build i will use one of these just to keep a cleaner looking bike.

This product from BBR makes it so im now completely comfortable as i ride with out a fuel tank in the way. Thanks

Mounts on tank don’t fit the rack. It’s made to mount tank under the rack, but not possible with my frame due to no clearance with fender. Completely useless for my application. Over priced for what you get. BikeBerry should have checked for these conditions IMO

It looks and works very well except it said it didn't come with a gas cap so I ordered one separately but when it arrived it did actually come with one but overall I'm very pleased with it

it made for a better looking bicycle.

Fit on to bike perfect but the screws to mount the tank to the rack are to long the hit the tank before getting tight so I had to use washers to space it apart Washers were not provided

G

It gets the job done, but there is a lot of tinkering and adjustments. I had to buy brackets for the back arms to extend the tank higher.

Fuel outlet should be on opposite end of tank.

This is just what I needed to make my bike different from all the rest . with a little modification it worked just how I needed it to of course I had to flip the tank around so the petcock was in the front and covered the top with red diamondplate .....looks awesome

It will do in a pinch My old tank developed a leak on one of the posts, so I went with the rear mount to avoid the issues I had with the top mount. Installs quickly & is not as cheaply made as I expected it to be. Decent tank, has rack, mounting hardware, petcock w/ attached screw-in magnetic filter, & gas cap included. No fuel line, or fuel filter. The tank has the petcock positioned so close to the rear tire that to operate the petcock, you have to move the tank to one side in order to open the valve. The clearance between the top of your tire, & the tank on a 26” is marginal at best. The mounting hardware was inadequate as the screws bottomed out on the top of the tank. Needed a few washers to solve that issue. Fuel line & filter I bought in conjunction with tank from Bikeberry weren’t long enough. Spend a few pennies & buy a good line that is a couple of feet long, not just one foot of hose length.

Handyman tank The cap and petcock are designed to stick out backwards. So obviously I turned the tank around, but a cross bar on tank rack blocks access to the cap so you have to cut it off if you want the tank cap and petcock facing towards the motor. The rails on side that are the support for rack/tank that go down to your rear wheel are about 4 inches short, and will require additional modifications. My bicycle is a 26""Bridgestone cb-0. This tank was designed for 26"" but still was 4"" short. The cheap Chinese gas caps leak no matter what. This tank is always covered in gas that vibrated and bounced its way outta cap vent holes. But not in between my legs anymore like peanut...Once i did get it all together its beautiful! The rack holds plenty of weight, the tank capacity is larger,it acts like a rear fender, you don't have that razor sharp peanut in between your legs anymore. But for 25$ its kinda annoying.. 15$ should be the price......

Perfect This is a very nice tank,l put it on a 1937 columbia reto bike and it looks great. Thanks bikeberry for carrying it

over all good The rack seems to be made of goodmild steel ,( not pot metal ) in the tank kit I got .There is no mount brackets in the kit but you can get small metal straps at thehardware store andfit drill themto hold it ,, make sure you get short enough screws or stack washers to you don'tscrew into the tank. Overall I like the tank ,,but would be better if the petcock was puton the front of the tank and keep the filler on the back of the tank where it is now.where this tank is mounted It keeps use of wasted space under the rack , I hate the look of the stock tanks (they look so out of placeon a bicycle ) of place )and this keeps the bar clear to mount a cell phone case ..pretty slick in my opinion I got the rack late last seasonand used it till now( living inMinnesota ) so I been using it for a wile now it took a bit of work to get it to fit my trek mountain bike but it was worth it .....

Rear rack tank This one is a lot better than the other style people sell. The rack is very sturdy and the tank is concaved to fit over a fender or a tire... I'll give it a A!

Can I get the dimensions (height, length & width) of just the gas tank?

BikeBerry

Our 2.5L Rear Gas Tank with Rear Rack has a dimension of 10x4x4

A

For the rear rack gas tank, it indicates that it does not include a gas cap, however the only gas cap you carry says it does not fit rear rack tanks.

Where would I acquire a gas cap for the tank if I were to purchase it?

BikeBerry

We have recently changed suppliers for our 2.5L Rear Gas Tank with Rear Rack and does include a gas cap.
