Part #11 on the Drivetrain Diagram

The 54 Tooth Rear Sprocket includes the 9 holes that are compatible with our standard Sprocket Clamp Assembly. A larger rear sprocket helps increase your performance and acceleration for large hills or hilly terrains for any motorized bicycle.

Note: Only compatible with the 415 Heavy Duty Chain

Using this 54-tooth sprocket on a prototype human powered boat. Perfect! It is installed on a vintage Raliegh bicycle- I have only an 1/8 inch clearance on the frame, but it fits nonetheless!

54 tooth sprocket

Other than drilling holes in it to match my bolt pattern, it works great. 54 tooth sprocket is perfect match for a 230 lbs. guy around town on gas bicycle. Started out with 36 tooth, way to small.

Will this sprocket fit on the mag rims you sell? the 36 tooth one they come with isnt good for my engine as I have a few serious hills I must go up each day to & from work

BikeBerry

Our 54 Tooth Sprocket is not compatible with the mag rims.

What is this sprocket made of,metal or Aluminum?

BikeBerry

Great question! This sprocket is constructed of steel. If your looking for an aluminum sprocket our BBR Tuning Sprocket Adapter uses a billet sprocket clamp and sprocket.

i have a bike that has 29 inch wheels, will a bigger sprocket make it able to fit?

BikeBerry

No, adding a 54 Tooth Sprocket will not make your 29 inch bike compatible.

If I replace the standard sprocket that comes with the 66/80cc motor with a larger sprocket (example, 54 tooth sprocket), will it increase the bike's speed?

BikeBerry

That is a great question and we appreciate you contacting us here at BikeBerry.com to help answer it for you! In terms of increasing speed you would want to look into a smaller tooth sprocket, such as the 36 tooth or 40 tooth sprocket, but with the larger teeth sprockets, they will loose top end speed and gain bottom end torque. Bottom end torque will increase the likeness of the motor being able to run up hills, however depending on how much weight the motor is pulling and how steep the hill is it still might bog out.
