Works until it doesn't.

It does what it's supposed to, unless your like me and forget to tighten the pulley and have it go flying off at full speed while taking your first test drive. 10/10 will have to buy again.

Replace the broken part

I got bike engine kit. But I didn't install the idler pulley correctly. It cracked. But with the replacement parts, I'm on the road again and getting faster!!!!!

hardware is different from the stock part that comes in the motor kit. And I wish it had a different system to tighten the pulley.

Get Rubber If it Slips I have this pully and I was having issues with it slipping around on my frame and pushing my chain off the gear, so I went to Lowes and bought some Plumber's pipe fitting rubber which I chopped up and stuck inbetween the cracks that existed between this and my frame. Now this pully is locked on there so tight and so well I never have any issues!

my other pully my other pully was junk it striped out like nothing and is a peace of crap and i live in greenvile michigan but after i bought this one i can ride all day long without my chain breaking

Are there instructions for installation, maintenance and adjustment for the idler pulley? Mine is a pain in the a$#.

However Typically you should check all parts attached on your motor after and before each ride to ensure they are tightened down and in good condition. If the wheel is worn down, then its safe to say you might want to upgrade to our Pirate Cycles 10T Precision Bearing Idler Sprocket or purchase another chain idler pulley with wheel.
