along with the disk brake adapter this kit worked perfectly on my nirva chopper bike had to use aback brake cable because of how long the front forks are but now i have front and back brakes so happy

The Complete 26 Inch Front Wheel Disc Brake Assembly is designed for 26" rims however with certain modifications we believe it is possible to work with a 30" rim. We strongly recommend further researching this online prior to any purchase since we can not and do not guarantee that this will work.

What type of (threaded?) wheel do I need to attach the rotor? Please explain the setup as I have an ordinary cruiser with just the fork adapter I bought. Thanks!

Great question! To install disk brakes on your bicycle there are a few requirements and options. Firstly the front must have the tab to install your disk brake caliper on, however if your bike does not have this you may use an adapter like this one (http://www.bikeberry.com/bbr-tuning-billet-aluminium-disc-brake-caliper-bracket.html). Next your bicycle needs a way to install the disk on the rim or hub. If your hub has the 6 bolt pattern to mount a disk it will bolt directly to your rim, if not there are are adapters that can thread onto a freewheel hub where the sprocket would normally. At this we do not carry these adapters for the hub.
