Now you can stay in place and start your engine with a breeze! The Pull Start Assembly is compatible with most 48cc bicycle engine kit. 66cc engines will need modifications to be mounted properly

Note: Installing The Pull Start Assembly adds 1.75" to the total width of the motor. This may compromise pedal clearance.

Disclaimer: ADDING A PULL START ASSEMBLY IS CONSIDERED AN AFTERMARKET UPGRADE. SOME BICYCLE ENGINES ARE NOT DESIGNED TO INSTALL A PULL START ASSEMBLY. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET AND USE GOOD JUDGEMENT.

Customers said this pull start assembly makes starting 2-stroke engines "much easier" than pedal starting. Made with metal parts, it typically installs in 5-15 minutes. However, durability concerns exist - several shoppers reported cord breakage within days or weeks. Some noted fitment issues requiring modification. When working properly, customers appreciate the "first pull" starting capability.

  • Only took about 15 minutes to put on, much easier than pedal starting.
  • Very easy to install, less than 5 minutes. One or two pulls and it's off to the races.
  • Works great! Built way much better than the cheap ones on Amazon.

2-stroke pull starter

The 2-stroke pull start assembly works great! Installing is pretty much simple. You must make sure to seat all 4 screws completely and evenly. Be sure not to pull too hard and have clutch lever completely locked back, or hold it in. You may have to tie the handle knot to make it bigger, so it doesn't slip through handle. These are built way much better than the cheap ones on Amazon. I am extremely pleased with it. Bikeberry stand's behind it with awesome warranty on their parts, and customer service is excellent. Thanx.

It has all metal parts (except the pull cord and handle).

It was good for a few days, then the cord kept ripping out of the coil and the metal coil got bent and it's unrepairable. I was excited, but then it didn't last..

Assembly looks really easy on vid, but it won't fit of the cheap Chinese motor I have an for my bikeberry motor I ended up having to literally sand down the top Phillip hex bolts so it can screw down properly.

Sweet pullstart

Only took about 15 minutes to put on, I buy B.B.R motors and not a single problem with it catching. I read other reviews and some had to grind it a little, but not on the motors I buy. Great product and awesome idea. And definitely priced right, very affordable. Recommend this for anyone, Soo much easier than peddle starting.

Two stroke pull start assembly. It was adorable and it made it to Ohio in a couple of days. It was very easy to install, less then 5 minutes. Best part, no more popping the clutch. One or two pulls and it's off to the races. Customer service is great, you got a problem email or call them and it's taken care of asap.

Easy to start, very bad recoil, no pedal clearance The pull starter makes it MUCH easier to start the engine, especially on cold days when it doesn't want to go. Unfortunately, the cord does not like to return itself back into the starter. You sometimes have to stop the engine and spin the tire backwards in order to rewind the starter and try again. The pedals do not even come close to clearing the starter, but you shouldn't need them for anything other than footrests now that you can start it with your hands! Overall, there are definitely some design flaws that could be fixed, but the ease of use this product adds outweighs the drawbacks.

stuff that worked for me. I removed the cut lock washer and put a star washer on first the n bolted on the part that was binding on the bolts holding the magneto. That solved the problem until I bolted on the cover. Now the rotor was too long. I took it out again and sanded down the front until I was sanding the two bolt faces. Now when I bolted on the cover it all worked well. Simple and easy. As for the crank clearance or lack of it, I removed the one piece crank from my Huffy Cranberry and placed the flat end of the left side into a vice wit h the left arm extending straight up. I heated the bend at the point close to the center shaft and pulled on the other arm until I thought it would clear the pull starter. I let it cool then heated the arm just above the pedal flat.I bent the armthe other way until the center shaft was parallel to the ground. Once cool, I reassembled it all and it works great. Price zero.

great add-on ... broke. I got this part because I built a go kart with my old 66cc mega motors bike engine and I couldn't bump start it so this part really came in handy!!! How ever mine broke mostly my fault from abuse.

Best 35 Dollars Spent The pull start and wide pedal kit was the best thingi ever spent money on for this motor kit. Befor i got the pull start kit i was always poping my chain off and messing up my cluch cover and pully. Now the bike starts up the first pull every time and no stress in the chain or motor. This is the best upgrade you can do for your bike.Beleave me.I give it 10 Stars.........
