Description

If you’re looking to master riding on just one wheel then you can’t go past the Gorilla Unicycles – 20 Inch Wheel Unicycle in terms of usability, safety, and comfort. Designed for use by both experienced riders and total newbies, the red 20 inch wheel unicycle is the perfect size for riders with an inseam measurement of 24 inches or more (the “inseam” measurement is the length of the inner leg).

Although some people may worry that riding a unicycle would be beyond their capabilities, learning to ride a unicycle is actually fairly simple and straightforward. With the proper instruction and some ongoing practice, riders can become confident enough to navigate around bumps in the road, cross over curbs, and even start learning a few impressive tricks. Much like learning to ride a standard two-wheel bicycle, you just need time to develop the balance and the rhythm.

To assist with achieving a smooth and easy ride, Gorilla Unicycles has incorporated a smooth ride wheel bearing into the design of their 20 inch wheel unicycle. The powder coated frame (completed in a stand-out classic red) rests on a 20 inch wheel that boasts a 1.75 inch wide black rubber tire with slip-resistant capabilities. The 20 inch wheel is considered by many to be the perfect size for a unicycle – it is small enough that you can still accomplish some impressive tricks, yet large enough that it is easy to learn on and is capable of traveling over uneven surfaces. Sizing is very important when it comes to choosing a unicycle, as anything too big or too small will make riding incredibly hard, instead of being smooth and natural, the way it should be (for further guidance on sizing, please see the table of measurements below).

For added comfort, the Gorilla Unicycles 20 inch wheel range includes a saddle that has been specially formulated for unicycle riders, with removable poly-nylon guardrails on the seat for added security. The seat post itself is fully adjustable, ranging in height from 36 inches down to 32 inches. This ensures that riders can customize the unicycle to suit their own specifications.

To keep in mind: Since it is not like riding common bicycles, novices should ride unicycles under the instructions of, or accompanied by, professionals or tutors for safety reasons.

Note: Gorilla Unicycles do not come with unicycle stands.

The item seems like it could have been nice if it was not for the damage on a hub and its surrounding area. The packaging was a thin flimsy box and it had a huge hole on a side with the hub sticking out. The hub and surrounding it was very damaged from the poor packaging. It was very disappointing. There where many lose pieces that rattled around loosely in the box and I was concerned that some might have fallen out of the hole that the hub was sticking out of. The unicycle works over all but the damage from the poor packaging is a disappointing reminder that is always noticed by everyone.

Good for the price Pretty solid for the price. We are having trouble getting the seat post to stay where we want it.The quick release doesn't get tight enough just cranking by hand, we've had to use channel locks and really crank on it.Otherwise it's been great.
