This is an awsome motor was really simple to put on and mine goes 30mph I love it now my next project is to build an electric bike with the help from bikeberry

A waste of $370 dollars unless you’re in a flat town

I purchased the 49cc friction drive motor kit that I planned to install on my BMX bike. The kit had everything however there were some issues. The nuts that go with the gas tank were not the correct size. They were too small. I bought the correct size nuts. When I placed everything together I was surprised the kit fit my BMX bike perfectly. I spun the roll and noticed it was moving the piston. That is not supposed to happen. I analyzed the situation. I placed a washer on each corner to move the spacer a little bit away from the engine. I spun the roll again and this time it was free like the way it should. After everything was done the engine turned on right away. It sounded great. I took my bike for a ride and it was awesome. This 49cc motor is strong. I am 230 pounds and the motor does not struggle at all. Overall I am content.

Finished the second kit for my wife’s bike. Went easier but chose to order additional parts to improve its operation like inline filters and inline valves (for both bikes), kick stand and mirrors. One event occurred with the shutoff valve hitting the frame so I installed a brass elbow which prevented me from using the filter so I opted to get the inline filter. Note: the threading of the valve provided uses standard “pipe thread”. Meanwhile waiting for the parts to arrive I also ordered a hitch for the car! We’re getting anxious to riding the trails!

had an issue with short fuel line and was sent an inproperly assembled roller bikeberry quickly resolved the problem and I really appreciate the help and love the ride

This 49cc friction drive kit is a pretty decent kit. Do expect to have to do some modifications to make it fit on bikes that are not beach cruisers such as mountain bike. I do wish the kit came with longer support rails that mount to the hub and do the engaging and disengaging of the friction drive. Shipping did take a while as well. Also expect to buy gas line and a filter as this kit does not come with a very long gas line or a inline filter. This kit also toke about a day to install in my application other applications may very. Other than these factors the kit is a decent kit makes for a very fun ride and the engine runs beautifully.

I just love mine it runs awsome I don't no if I just got a great one but mine goes 37mph all I did was put on a new 2 stroke carburetor and a new muffler it's so quiet to it's what I was going for silent but deadly and it goes I'll load a video of it soon but it's a fun little kit

The 49CC engine works fine once you break it in , this product starts up everytime...I ride it every time it's sunny outside.

Only problems are the throttle doesn't work very smooth and the clutch housing needs truing up other than that its pretty good

It a real good motor kit real easy to put together. Only had one problem is the hole I drilled out for throttle the little pin that goes in hole that keeps it from moving it fell out when putting it together. Now I need a new one wich I'm not sure how only because it had broke while putting together haven't even road it yet

This is my 3rd 5G kit . The 1st engine kit and bike I got about 2000 miles and the bike it was on I rode into the ground . The 2nd engine kit I got just over 3000 miles on it and still in good condition with many miles left too go . I am homeless and live in a patch of woods in Brooksville Florida where I had my motorized bike tethered by a 6 foot Master Cable Lock , locked around 2 , 8 inch oak tree's . Someone went into my camp and sawed down the 2 oak tree's and stole my bike . Now for me this is my 3rd build for myself , I have had friends purchase friction drive engine kits and have built a total of 11 friction drive bikes in several variations , my bikes with nothing but heavy duty parts from tire's to seat . Bikeberry has had all the parts and accessories I have ever needed to build my bike's and all at a very reasonable price's . 5G Friction Drive Engine Kits are my main transportation that's how I know how many miles I have gone on my bike's plus a very accurate Digital Speedometer . Once installed correctly and treated easy the engine kits will last for years properly maintained . My bike that was stollen I had from 2015 to 2021 and still had plenty of miles to go , 6 year's and I rode it every day because my driver's license was revoked in 2010 . Friction Drive Kits are a great value and inexpensive compared to all other non license transportation . I rate Bikeberry Engine Kits as a Great Value and Fast Delivery . I Love 5G Kits.

This is a good kit and works well when installed. Did not give 5 stars because some nuts and bolts were missing and digital installation instructions were not included

Gas tank had a small dent. No instructions you advertise it came with. Good old U TUBE. clutch always ingaged. I shimmed it out with four washers and now its working fine. Bike Berry is a little more money but you know they dont sell junk.

Very poor

the sliding system to engage motor to tire is not as smooth as it should be. the real problem is the fuel tank shutoff leaks around the pivet point. tightening the screws did not totally stop the leak

Price was good and it was sent in a timely manner but some pieces are missing and others are incorrect parts. Waiting for a correction.

I give this friction drive unit 5 Stars only after bikeberry took care of the replacing of the part that was no good no big deal this stuff happens took a little extra time but very happy now thank you bikeberry

great! This is my second bike kit, first from bikeberry. love it, the tank didnt come with a fuel shutoff valve. make sure you get one with your kit, put 40 miles so far on it. installed before winter, then couldnt ride, too cold :) now its spring and off I go!

not bad not bad faster pickup then the 38cc. but the carburetor has no set screws for air and fuel. it ran good for 2 days then the carb starts acting like it is not getting enough air at full speed and starts to slow down. I ordered a Honda carburetor to replace the stock one.it has aset screw for air at least. other then that and a broken air filter and missing a sparkplug socket and a petcock valve it was mostly there. I did get a air filter when I called but the person did not understand about the sparkplug socket and petcock. but sent gas tank clamps and nuts that I did not need.

49cc 4 stroke friction drive So far my clutch and bell were rubbing each other so I am waiting on warranty parts. I haven't really been able to use my bike as the clutch is always engaged. I'm waiting on new parts from Bikeberry. Hopefully my new parts I will work for me but if not I will have to put a couple of washers between my engine and friction drive mount. If everything goes ok with my warranty parts I'll be ordering 2 more 49cc 4 stroke friction drives from Bikeberry for my son and my next door neighbor as she wants me to order her a pink woman's bike and friction drive. I know I will have to find a longer throttle cable as a girls bike doesn't have the top tube to mount the throttle cable or fuel tank on. Thank you,Tim from flat and windy Kansas.

Fun fun fun This is an awsome bike kit. It is very easy to install with vary little headache. I put it on a 26inch mountain bike and i got up to 31mph on flat ground acourding to my bike cumputer. Also its crash test aproved lol. I wrecked it going 25 over a railroad track that has really bad pot holes. It was my fault cause i didnt check my brakes before i went out right after putting it on my bike. The kit held up vary well. The only thing that broke was the locking nut on the back. $5 dollars later and it was back on the road. It really is a blast to ride and i would recamend it to anyone.
