The BBR Tuning 38cc Lock & Load Friction Drive bike engine kit just made motorizing your bike a lot easier. Unlike other bicycle engines that mount in the center of your frame, friction drive motors mount directly over your wheel, which gives you a wider range of bicycles you can use with this motor. Its compact design also eliminates the need for a bulky gas tank on your frame- there’s one built right on to the engine. And because it mounts over your bike’s wheel you don’t even need to install a rear drive sprocket: the friction from the mount’s drive shaft will pull your wheel using friction to rub against the tire and propel.

Being a big guy, I should’ve got a much larger motor. I think I’ll get the 80 cc this time. It works it just takes a little bit of peddling to get it going. Motor runs really good. For someone that’s about 150 pounds to maybe 180 would work OK.

I got the engine kit and then changed my mind and decided to go electric so I am selling kit in my area
I wasn’t for sure this would work but the price point made it worth a try. It works great! I never got the instructions but it’s pretty simple to figure out. Very happy.
Everything was in the kit. The spacers for the mount were upgraded. I had to drill new holes in the brackets to accommodate the tall tire I’m using. Motor runs great.
